Veedersburg - Samuel L. Craig, 70, an employee of the Veedersburg Brick Co. died at 10:15 a.m. Saturday in St. Elizabeth Hospital at Lafayette. He had been in failing health since last February. He was treated at Culver Hospital in Crawfordsville and St. Elizabeth prior to his last illness. Born Oct. 19, 1889 in Fountain County, Mr. Craig was the son of Owen B. and Ada Drollinger Craig. He married Beulah Kiger in 1910. Mr. Craig was a member of the Veedersburg Christian Church. Survivors include the widow, three daughters, Mrs. Beatrice Hershberger, Mrs. Thelma Gosnell and Mrs. Janice Booe, all of Veedersburg; two sons, Samuel L. Craig Jr., and Billy Joe Craig, also of Veedersburg; 11 grandchildren, one great-grandchild, a sister, Mrs. Viola Grigson of Oakland, Calif., and three brothers, Roy Craig of Lansing, Mich., and Clifford and Edgar Craig, both of Veedersburg. The body was taken to the Fishero Funeral Home in Veedersburg where services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Monday. Rev. Ralph Sell and Rev. Samuel Pritchard will be the officiating ministers. Burial will be at Rockfield Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home.

Samuel L. Craig, 70, of Veedersburg, died at 10:.15 a.m. Saturday (Aug. 27, 1960). at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Lafayette.
In ill health since February, Mr. Craig was born Oct. 19, 1889 in Fountain County, Ind., the son of Owen B. and Ada Drollinger Craig.
He was married Feb. 26, 1910 to Beulah Kiger, and she survives.
Other survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Beatrice Hershberger, Mrs Thelma Gosnell and Mrs. Janice Booe, all of Veedersburg; two sons, Samuel L. Jr., and Billy Joe Craig, both of Veedersburg; three brothers, Roy Craig of Alanson, Mich., Clifford and Edgar Craig, both of Veedersburg; a sister, Mrs. Viola Grigson of Oakland, Calif.; 11 grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
He was a member of the First Christian Church of Veedersburg and had been employed by the Veedersburg Brick Co.
Services were at 2:30 p.m Monday at the Fishero Funeral Home, with the Rev. Ralph Sell and Samuel Pritchard officiating. Burial was at Rockfield Cemetery. - jz
