Veedersburg, Ind. - Mrs. Lillie Mae Craig, 71, died at 1 a.m. Tuesday (May 27, 1958) at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Danville, where she had been a patient since April 22. Mrs. Craig incurred a fractured hip at that time in a fall while visiting a daughter, Mrs. Gladys Cary, in Covington. Born near Veedersburg Dec. 18, 1886, she was a daughter of George and Sarah Kiger Lightle. She was married June 18, 1910, to Charles William Craig, who preceded her in death Feb. 10, 1953. Surviving besides the daughter are four sons, Ralph and Robert of Veedersburg, Owen, address unknown, and James, in the U.S. Army in Germany; two brothers, Charles Lightle of Westville, Ill., and Marion Lightle of Veedersburg; a sister, Mrs. Rose Collins of Waveland; 18 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two daughters and a son. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church at Covington. The body is at the Fishero Funeral Home. Services will be at 4:30 p.m. Thursday at the Sterling Church of God. The Rev. Noah Beadle will officiate, assisted by the Rev. James Miller. The body will be taken to the church one hour before services. Burial will be in Rockfield Cemetery.

We wish to express our sincere thanks and appreciation to all those who sent us cards and flowers and remembered us with their prayers during the illness and death of our mother and grandmother, Mrs. Lillie Mae Craig. Mrs. Craig incurred a fractured hip in a fall while visiting a daughter, Mrs. Gladys Cary in Covington.
Born near Veedersburg in 1886, she was the daughter of George and Sarah Kiger Lightle.  She married Charles William Craig in 1910 and he preceded her in death in 1958.
