Attica – Jesse M. Craft, 61 of 603 Union St, died in the Veterans Hospital in Indianapolis at 12:35 this morning. He had been in ill health for 10 years. Born in Fountain County, Mr. Craft had lived in Attica since 1935. He married Mildred Shamp in 1930 and she survives. He had operated a taxi service in Attica for 18 years before retiring because of ill health. He was a Navy veteran and a past commander of the VFW post in Attica. Surviving with the wife are two daughters, Mrs. Rose Eacret, of Auburndale, Fla and Mrs. Mary Jo Wright of Stone Bluff; three sons, Jesse L of Auburndale, Lawrence E of Danville Ill and William of Attica; two sisters, Mrs. Inez Pugh of Attica and Mrs. Eleanor Utterbach of Crawfordsville; two brothers, Chester of Sacramento, Cal and Lee of Crawfordsville; and one-half brother, Robert Roland of Williamsport.
