Covington, Ind. - Raymond Matthew Cox, 68, of Covington, died at 10:50 p.m. Friday (May 30, 1969) at the St. Elizabeth Hospital in Danville, Ill., where he had been a patient two days. Born Jan. 20, 1901, in Montgomery County, he was the son of William W. and Anna B. Gardner Cox. He had resided in Covington for the past ten years. He had formerly resided in Crawfordsville, Perrysville and Indianapolis. He was a retired employe of the Alison Division of General Motors. Surviving are four sisters, Mrs. Vera Sprouls, Mrs. Olive Crowder and Mrs. Lucille Spandau, all of Perrysville, and Mrs. Alberta Robertson of Danville, Ill.; and a brother, James E. of State Line. Services will be at 2 p.m. EDT Monday at the Bodine and Shelby Funeral Home with the Rev. Donald True officiating. Burial will be in Lower Mound Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Sunday afternoon and evening.

Gardner Cox.  He had resided in Covington for the past 10 years and before that he had lived in Crawfordsville, Perrysville and Indianapolis. Mr. Cox is survived by four sisters, Mrs. Vera Sprouls, Mrs. Olive Crowder and Mrs. Lucille Spandau all of Perrysville and Mrs. Alberta Robertson of Danville, Ill and one brother, James E. Cox of State Line.  Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday at Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home here. The Rev. Donald True officiated and burial was in the Lower Mound Cemetery. – kbz
