Kingman, Ind. - Mary L. Cox, 83, a Kingman resident, died today (Oct. 28, 1967) at Culver Hospital, Crawfordsville, where she had been a patient nine days. Mrs. Cox was born Aug. 7, 1885, to Albert and Hannah Lindley Marshall. She was a native of Fountain County and graduated from Kingman High School in 1906. She was a member of the Kingman Methodist Church and the Methodist Ladies Aid. Her husband, Byron, preceded her in death May 9, 1961. She also was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters. Survivors include a son, Ellsworth, Kingman; two sisters, Leora Marshall and Mrs. Olive D. Shell, both of Kingman.

Kingman – Mrs. Mary Cox, age 82, Kingman died Saturday morning Oct 28 in Culver Hospital at Crawfordsville where she had been a patient nine days.  Mrs. Cox was born Aug 7, 1885 in Fountain County daughter of Albert and Hannah Lindley Marshall. She was graduated from Kingman HS in 1906. She was married to Byron Cox who died May 9, 1961.  She was a member of the Kingman Methodist Church and Ladies Aid Society of the church. Surviving are one son, Ellsworth of near Kingman; two sisters, Miss Leora Marshall and Mrs. Olive Shell both of Kingman and a nephew. She was preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers. Funeral services were conducted at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Woodrow Funeral Home here. The Rev. Eston Brook officiated and burial was in Kingman Fraternal Cemetery.
