Judith A. Cox, 58, of Danville,
Ill., died at 2:40 a.m. Monday, April 22, 1996 at USMC, Logan campus, after a
hard fight against leukemia. Born Jan. 26, 1938, in Danville, she was the
daughter of Harold and Winifred (Chandler) Buchanan. On Nov. 25, 1977, she
married John Cox. He survives. Also surviving, with her parents, are: one son,
Earl Ballard of Danville; two daughters, Diana (Ben) Kirkpatrick of Covington
and Pamela (Kyle) Roberts of Homestead, Fla.; one brother, Tom (Wanda) Buchanan
of Westville, Ill.; one sister, Janet (Ben) Wright of Las Cruces, N.M.; three
grandchildren, Kelsey Roberts, Justin Roberts and Lisa (Gene) Phinney; two
great-grandchildren, Alyssa and Aryel Phinney; and several in-laws and nieces
and nephews. Mrs. Cox was a member of the Second Church of Christ. She enjoyed
rea ding, playing the organ, and shopping. Most of all, she enjoyed spending
time with her family. Visitation was Tuesday at Sunset Funeral Home. Service
there on Wednesday with Rev. Dr. Jerry Martin officiating. Interment in Sunset
Park Memorial. – jlr
