ATTICA — Hazel Marie (Clark)
Cox, 81, formerly of Rob Roy and had been residing in the Digby House in
Lafayette, died at 1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 13, 2000 in Home Hospital, Lafayette.
She was born Aug. 17, 1919 in Rob Roy, Fountain County, the daughter of Quincey
and Clara Froedge Clark. She married Russell W. Cox July 30, 1938 in Otterbein.
He preceded in death Sept. 14, 1999. She had lived most of her life in
Lafayette, moving back to Rob Roy in 1978. She graduated from Attica High
School. She formerly worked at Holloway House, now Green Giant for 10 years.
She worked in the quality control lab where she retired in 1978. She was a
member of St. Paul Community Church in Linden. She was a former member of the
Wea Workers and a bowling league in Lafayette. She loved her flower garden.
Survivors include: two daughters, Peggy (Paul) Wright, West Point and Debra
(Tony) Pendleton, Lafayette; three sons, Larry (Judith) Cox and Steven (Sherry)
Cox, both of Lafayette and David (Beckie) Cox, Rossville; a sister, Norma Jean
Blanchard, Reed City, Mich.; 16 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. She
was also preceded in death by a grandson, Jason Wright; two sisters, Betty
Kadwell and Catherine Clark; and a brother, Charles Clark. Funeral services
were at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Maus Funeral Home, Attica, with the Rev. Dr. R.
Clayton Kindall officiating. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery, Attica. – jlr
