Mellott - Funeral services for Clyde L. Cox, age 73, of Colfax, father of Mrs. Russell (Faye) Austin of Mellott who died Monday morning, Nov. 9, following a lingering illness, were held at the Williams Funeral Home in Colfax. Mr. Cox was married to Flossie M. Charters, who preceded him in death in 1936. He had been employed as a carpenter. Surviving, in addition to Mrs. Austin, are two other daughters, Mrs. Vivian Kee of Chicago, Ill., and Mrs. Delores M. Hankins of Colfax; one sister, Mrs. June Cain of Darlington; three brothers, Ray and Herschel, both of Crawfordsville, and William of Rockville; 15 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
