(1963) Danville, Ill. - Funeral services for Chester Alvin Cox, age 59, former Danville resident, who died unexpectedly at 4:30 a.m. Monday, Jan. 28, at his home in Champaign, will be held today, Jan. 30, at the Barrick & Son Funeral Home. Mr. Cox was employed by the Meadow Gold Dairy in Champaign and had formerly been employed by that dairy plant in Danville. Born July 17, 1903, in Danville he was a son of William and Annabelle Gardner Cox. Surviving are his wife, the former Olive Petet whom he married in Crown Point, in 1929; a son, William of Auburn, Wash., two daughters, Mrs. Rosemary Kranz of India and Mrs. Margaret Hendricks of Rankin; two brothers, Raymond of Covington and James of State Line; four sisters, Mrs. Vera Sprowls, Mrs. Olive Crowder and Mrs. Lucille Spandau all of Perrysville, and Mrs. Alberta Robertson of Danville; and seven grandchildren.
