VEEDERSBURG — Billy Cox, 48, Veedersburg, died at 6:40 p.m. Friday, Dec. 8, 2000 in St. Francis Hospital, Beech Grove. He suffered from leukemia. He was born Feb. 17, 1952 in Danville, Ill., the son of Bill B. and Nina Schutz Cox. He graduated from Fountain Central High School. He worked in security systems, installing fire alarms and burglar alarms. He loved playing music and being around family and friends. Survivors include: his parents of Veedersburg; a daughter, Connie Cox, Veedersburg; two brothers, Gary (Susie) Cox and Chris (Sherry) Cox, both of Veedersburg; a sister, Darlene Kyger, Veedersburg; a grandson, Deaton Cox; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, David, and his grandparents. The body was cremated. A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Dickerson Funeral Home, Veedersburg, with the Rev. Greg McDonald officiating. Burial will be in Rockfield Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
