Veedersburg - John Raymond Covault, 75, died Sunday at 9 a.m. at the home of a son, Stanley Covault of Darlington where he had been visiting the past two days. Mr. Kovault (sic) lived with his daughter, Mrs. Lewis Drock of 615 W. State Street, Veedersburg. He was born in Fountain County and in 1912, married Josephine Crabb who died in 1959. He was a retired farmer and member of Veedersburg Masonic Lodge. Surviving with the son and daughter are two other sons, John W. of Veedersburg and Oakley E of Oxford, another daughter, Mrs. Joy Woodrow of Covington; two brothers, Ben of Kingman and Fred of Stone Bluff and a sister, Mrs. Zada Simpson of Waynetown.

Veedersburg - John Raymond Covault, 75, a retired farmer died at 9 a.m. Sunday at the home of a son, Stanley in Darlington. He was born March 19, 1880 in Fountain County, to John and Cynthia Hayden Covault. He was married to Josephine Crabb Aug 19, 1912. She died in 1959. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge at Veedersburg. Survivors include 3 sons, John of Veedersburg, Oakley of Oxford and Stanley of Darlington; two daughters, Mrs. Joy Woodrow of Covington and Mrs. Iris Brock with whom he made his home in Veedersburg; two brothers, Ben of Kingman and Fred of Stone Bluff and a sistr,Vada Simpson of Waynetown. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Stone Bluff EUB Church, Rev. Alfred Dobbs will officiate. Burial will be in the Osborn Prairie Church Cemetery. Friends may call at the Sever Mortuary in Veedersburg.
