Clifford C. Cotton Jr. of Danville, Illinois, age 57, died Wednesday morning, December 29, in St. Elizabeth Hospital at Danville. He was born in Crawfordsville, March 20, 1925, the son of Clifford C. and Della Dean Scott Cotton. September 8, 1945, he married Charlotte E. Campbell, who survives. Educated in the schools at Alamo, he had worked at Dolly Madison until its closing, at the former Meis Furniture 13 years, at the former Penry Furniture Company eight years and the past four years at the Mobile Service Station.
Also surviving are three daughters, Elaine Ollis, Jeanette Mikel and Ella Cotton, all of Danville; six sons, Archie, Steve and Terry, all of Danville, Larry of Veedersburg, Robert of Urbana, Illinois, and Kevin of Williamsport; five sisters, Rose Gustin and Helen LaFoe of Crawfordsville, Marie Nichols of Danville, Vivian Spencer and Claudine Spangler of Williamsport; three brothers, Robert L. of Yeddo, Harry of Whitesville and Billy; and 28 grandchildren.
Graveside services and burial were Friday morning in Mount Hope Cemetery at Covington with Rev. Paul White officiating and Pape Memorial Home in charge. – thanks to S
