Emmett Cory, 59, of 515 Brook Road, Rockford, a former Danville resident, was dead on arrival at 10:20 a.m. yesterday (Jan. 23, 1969) at the Swedish-American Hospital in Rockford. He was stricken ill at work at the Rockford Screw Products Co. He was born April 24, 1909, in Indiana, a son of Emmett and Verna West Cory Sr. Surviving are his widow, the former Magdalene House; three sisters, Mrs. Ruth Frankinow, Mrs. Audrey Rozgonyi, and Mrs. Barbara Gore, all of Danville, and two brothers, Thomas and Merlyn, both of Danville. Mr. Cory was a member of the Masonic Lodge 1145 at Loves Park, Ill., and the Freeport Scottish Rite. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the Barrick & Son Funeral Home. The Rev. Joe C. Detamore will officiate. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery. Friends will be received at the funeral home 7-9 p.m. Sunday. Masonic services will be by Anchor Lodge at 6:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Services for Emmett (Herman) Cory, 59, of Rockford, a former Danville resident who died Thursday in Rockford, will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the Barrick & Son Funeral Home. The Rev. Joe C. Detamore will officiate. Friends will be received at the funeral home 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday. Anchor Lodge will conduct Masonic services at the funeral home at 6:30 p.m. Sunday.
