An elderly West Lebanon couple lost their lives Sunday afternoon in a single-car crash at 1:35 p.m. north of Williamsport.
  Killed instantly was Mrs. Ethel Cork, 73, of internal injuries and a fractured skull. Her husband, John Cork, 75, the driver of the car, died later at 7:22 p.m. at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Lafayette, of internal injuries.
  According to a witness who was in a following vehicle, Cork apparently became ill while driving on state road 28 north of Williamsport. He began driving erratically, drove off the road on a curve and the 1969 car rolled over twice. Seat belts were not in use.
  Investigating the accident were state trooper Lloyd Jennings, the Warren County Sheriff’s Department, the Williamsport Town Marshall and the Warren County Coroner.
  Double funeral services for Ethel Marie (High) Cork and her husband, John Lester Cork, of Rt. 1 West Lebanon, will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Dale Maus Funeral Home in Attica with Rev. Charles Anderson officiating. Burial will be in Rossville Cemetery at Rossville, Ill. Friends may call at the funeral home from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday.
  Mrs. Cork, 73, was born at Rossville, Ill., on Nov. 19, 1900, the daughter of William and Bertha Saylor High. She attended Pond School near Rossville, Ill., and was a housewife. She and her husband were members of the Christian Church at Pence and she was a member of Pleasant View Aid Society.
  Mr. Cork, 75, was born near East Lynn, Ill., on June 30, 1898, the son of John and Jennie Mae Smith Cork. He formerly lived in Hedrick and the Pence area and resided at Rt. 1, West Lebanon since 1937.
  He attended East Lynn School and the Utterback and Brown Business College in Danville, Ill. He was a farmer by trade and also a pilot, having trained pilots during World War II at Chanute AFB in Rantoul, Ill. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge at Hedrick and Scottish Rite Valley of Indianapolis.
  Mr. and Mrs. Cork were married Feb. 20, 1918, at Hoopeston.
  They are survived by a daughter, Mrs. William (Dorothy) Zimmerman, Huron, Ohio, three grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
  Mr. Cork is also survived by one sister, Mrs. Claude (Gladys) Nolin, Rt. 1, West Lebanon, and one brother, Eugene, Rt. 1, Cayuga.
  Also, Mrs. Cork is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Grant (Flora) Winegardner and Mrs. Ray (Estella) Fox, both of Williamsport.
  The Corks’ deaths raised the weekend traffic fatality toll to eight in Indiana.
