Cecil Leroy Corey, age 52, a life resident of Fountain County, died at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 31, in St. Elizabeth Hospital in Danville, Ill. He had been a patient a week after being in ill health for several years. He was born Dec. 27, 1911, near Portland Arch, the son of the late C. Earl and Nina Cox Corey. He had never married. Survivors include: one sister, Mrs. Marjorie Ricketts and one brother, R. Lee Corey, both of Covington Rt. 3, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services were held at 4 p.m. Tuesday at the Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home, Covington. The Rev. August Stork officiated and burial was in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Covington. Serving as pallbearers were: Albert Glover, Melvin Hughes, Ramon Hughes, Russell Cox, Lee Corey and Robert Corey.

Services will be Tuesday at 4 p.m. at the Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home in Covington. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery. Rev. August Stork will officiate. Friends may call at the funeral home.
