John Copeland, who lived for many
years in Kingman, but has resided near Marshall, Indiana, for some time, was
buried Monday at Marshall. John has not been a stout man for many years, he has
been afflicted with asthma for many years, but the immediate cause of his death
was Brights Disease. John leaves a widow and one daughter. He was fifty-two
years old and was one of the best of men. We have known John for years and if
there was a dishonorable trait in his character we were never able to discover
it. He was a brother to our fellow townsmen O. J. and James Copeland. – jlr
