Frank H. Cope, 92, of Crawfordsville passed away at 5 a.m. Tuesday at Williamsburg Healthcare. Born April 9, 1917 in Morton, he was the son of Jim and Minnie Cope. He graduated from Wingate HS was married to Juanita Oswalt and worked at Mid-States Wire from 1965 until his retirement in 1982. He worked in the shipping department. He had previously farmed in the Wingate area for 13 years and worked at Alcoa Aluminum, Lafayette for 10 years. He was a member of Elmdale Methodist Church. Survivors include 11 children: Robert (Connie) Cope; James (Linda) Cope; Larry (Cheryl) Cope; Beverly (Jim Harpel; Joce (Ron) Love; Jeff (DeDe) Cope; Mark (Lisa) Cope; Sherri (Mark) Suiter; Tina (Skyler) Biddle all of Crawfordsville; Donna (Max) Sheets of Lafayette, David (Jayne) Cope of Canton, Ill; a brother, Donald E. Cope of Crawfordsville; 29 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife; a granddaughter, Cindy Rauch; a sister, Lorene Rusk and his parents. A graveside service for friends and family will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Masonic Cemetery, Waynetown with Rev. Steve Wilke officiating.
