COOPER, Vera Bunnell

Waynetown, Ind. - Mrs. Vera D. Cooper, 73, died at 5:30 p.m. Saturday (Feb. 13, 1971) at the Home Hospital in Lafayette. She had been a patient there since Dec. 26. She was born April 9, 1897, north of Waynetown, the daughter of Jackson A. and Alberta Switzer Bunnell. On Nov. 17, 1916, she married Carl Cooper at Waynetown. He died in 1965. She was a member of the Christian Church, Chapter 435 Order of Eastern Star, Montgomery County Chapter of the DAR, a charter member of the Beta Chi Chapter of the Psi Iota Xi Sorority and Pi Mu Research Club, all at Waynetown. She graduated from Waynetown High and attended Central Normal School at Danville, Ind. She was employed for several years at the R.R. Donnelley Co. in Crawfordsville. She is survived by a brother, Ernest Bunnell of Lafayette; a sister, Mrs. Helen Ruse of Dayton, Ohio; and three nephews, James Bunnell, Jack Bunnell and John Ruse. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. EST Tuesday at the Servies-Thomas Funeral Home, with the Rev. Donald Selman officiating. Burial will be in Masonic Cemetery. Friends
