Rockville, Ind. - Ralph C. Cooper, 52, of Rockville Route 4, died at 8:15 a.m. Tuesday (June 7, 1966) at Union Hospital, Terre Haute. He had been ill several months. Mr. Cooper was a Parke County deputy sheriff and a farmer. Born in Parke County July 30, 1913, he was the son of Merrill and Nina Bochdaler Cooper. Survivors include the widow, Maxine; two daughters, Mrs. Marlene White, Waveland, and Nina Lynn, at home; three sons, Joe Allen, Ralph Dale, and Rickey Dean, all at home; three brothers, Virgil, John and Charles, all of Rockville; four sisters, Evelyn Cooper, Mrs. Alberta Spencer, Mrs. Lois Bohannon, all of Rockville, Mrs. Helen Biggerstaff Spokane, Wash., and three grandchildren. He was a member of the Sand Creek Evangelical United Brethren Church. A veteran of World War II, Mr. Cooper was a member of Salinger's Post 48 of American Legion and Paul Dreamer's Post 1752, Veterans of Foreign Wars. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Butler Funeral Home. The Rev. James O. Trousdale will officiate. Burial will be in Memory Garden in Rockville. Military rites will be conducted.
