COOPER, Nina Osborn - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Mrs. Nina C. Cooper, 79, former resident of this city, died Sunday at Indianapolis where she had lived since 1928. Mrs. Cooper, the widow of Henry F. Cooper, was born on a farm in Fountain County and attended the school in that county. She moved to Crawfordsville with her family in 1915 and resided here for the following 13 years. Her husband and his brother, Harry Cooper, were founders of the Indiana Farmers Mutual Insurance Co., which now has its offices at Indianapolis. Henry Cooper died Sept. 8, 1961. Mrs. Cooper was a member of the University Park Christian Church at Indianapolis and was a past president of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Mutual Insurance Companies Association of Indiana. The survivors include a son, Paul R. Cooper of Carmel; four grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Clifford Martin of Veedersburg, and a brother, Ralph Osborn of Kingman. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Shirley Brothers Central Chapel, 946 N. Delaware St., Indianapolis. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery here. - - Mrs. Nina C.
