COOPER, Marion R. - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Hillsboro - Marion R. Cooper, 80 Rt 1, Hillsboro died Thursday (Dec 21) in Culver Hospital. He was a retired farmer and member of Hillsboro Church of the Nazarene. He was born Feb 1, 1898 near Hillsboro, a son of Miles and Lillie Nicholson Cooper. He graduated from Hillsboro HS in 1918. On Feb 26, 1919 he was married to the former Ruby Rodgers, who died in November 1972. On December 2, 1973 he married the former Leone Taylor, who survives. Other survivors are two sons, Charles A. Cooper of Albambra, Calif and Bill M. Cooper of West Lafayette; 3 daughters, Mrs. Dee (Marjorie) Bearden of Anderson, Mrs. Phil (Mary) Pitts, West Lafayette and Mrs. David (Anne) Canen of Norcross, GA; a sister, Mary M. Cooper of Muncie; 14 grandchildren and six great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three sons, five sistes and four brothers. Services will be 2:30 p.m. Sunday iN Crumley-Williams Funeral Home, Hillsboro with Rev. George Scott officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery at HIllsboro. Friends may call after 4 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
