Frank Cooper, 76, former Hillsboro business man who resided here for a number of years died at his home in Russellville Tuesday evening following a lingering illness.  He was dismissed from Culver Hospital in Crawfordsville where he had been a medical patient for several days about two weeks ago. While a resident of Hillsboro he was engaged in the grocery business and after moving to Russellville served as township trustee for 16 years and was also assessor of Putnam County for 8 years.  He was the son of Cary and Cynthia Bailey Cooper and was born in the vicinity of Mellott May 28, 1877.  He was married to Miss Alma Hyatt on March 31, 1902 they having celebrated their golden wedding anniversary two years ago. Survivors are the widow, three sons Eston Cooper of Roachdale, Donald Cooper of Russellville and Harold Cooper of Pontiac, Mich; five grandchildren; two great grandchildren; two brothers, Charles and James Cooper of Mellott and one sister Mrs. Minnie McAlister of Crawfordsville.  Funeral service will be held at the Federated Church in Russellville at 1:30 p.m. Friday with Rev. JL Pickett officiating.  Burial will be in the Masonic Cemetery at Waynetown.  – kbz
