Mrs. Lawrence Sheaffer received word Wednesday morning of the death of Amy Deedie Rice-Cooper in the Wakefield nursing home at Decatur, Ill. Mrs. Cooper was the daughter of Darius and Nancy Jane Herron Rice. She was born Nov. 10, 1871. She married George Cooper and lived in Decatur for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband, an infant daughter and a son, Rice Cooper. Several distant relatives reside in and near Crawfordsville and Mrs. Cooper often visited here. Memorial services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, 239 W. Prairie St., Decatur, Ill., with burial in Fairlawn Cemetery.
