COOKE, Mary Hale - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Mrs. Mary Andrews Cooke of Danville, Illinois, age 73, died Tuesday afternoon, May 12, in St. Elizabeth Hospital at Danville. She was born in Tompkinsville, Kentucky, November 23, 1907, the daughter of William and Nannie Yokley Hale. She first married Wilber Andrews, who died in 1957. In 1979, she married Merle Cooke, who survives.

  Also surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Jo Darlene Bailey and Mrs. Joan Kagels, both of Danville; two sons, Wilber Andrews of RR 2, Covington, and Jack Andrews of Tilton, Illinois; a stepson, William Cooke of Champaign, Illinois; 28 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.

  Funeral services were held Friday morning at Barrick and Son Funeral Home in Danville, Illinois, with Mike Woodward officiating. Burial was in Spring Hill Cemetery at Danville. – thanks to S
