J. Milo "Jack" Cook, 80, former office manager for McDaniel Freight Lines here, died suddenly of a heart attack Friday night at his home, 1416 W. Main St. He was associated with the freight firm from 1943 until his retirement 12 years ago. Prior to that, he was employed by the First National Bank of Veedersburg. He was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church and a 50-year member of Veedersburg Masonic Lodge and Scottish Rite. Born Dec. 25, 1892, in Fountain County, he was the son of James and Unice Gookins Cook. He attended schools in Sterling area and was a graduate of Utterback and Brown Business College at Danville, Ill. He married Wandaline Helms, Aug. 3, 1913. She survives. Other survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Ray Coyita Campbell of Veedersburg and Mrs. Robert Doris Keeling of Waynetown; five grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister. Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday in Hunt & Son Funeral Home with Rev. P. J. Hamilton and Rev. Paul Jump officiating. Burial will be in Rockfield Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday.
