Veedersburg - Miss Gladys Fern Cook, 69, was found dead in her trailer home on East Washington Street Tuesday morning. A cousin, Herbert Moorehouse, and Night Officer James Lynch went to the trailer in search of her when neighbors reported not having seen her since Sunday. Coroner Robert Shelby of Covington, who was called to the scene, said death was due to natural causes. Born Aug. 2, 1895, near Veedersburg, she was the daughter of Frank and Vuena Miller Cook. She was never married. She had moved back here from Greenfield in 1953. Miss Cook was a member of the Christian Church at South Bend and was a former member of Valetta Chapter, Order of Eastern Star, in Veedersburg. Survivors include an aunt, Mrs. Eva Hurt, who lives in California, and a number of cousins. The parents and a brother, Raymond Cook, preceded her in death. Funeral arrangements have not been completed. Friends may call at the Fishero Funeral Home in Veedersburg.
