CONOVER, Pauline Biddle

Crawfordsville—Pauline Biddle Conover, 88, West Lafayette, died Saturday, April 15, 1989, at Westminster Village, West Lafayette.
She was born Dec. 6, 1900 in Montgomery County, the daughter of Harley and Emma Bowers Wilkinson. She was first married to Jack Biddle, who preceded her in death. She later married Howard Conover, who preceded her in death in 1980.
She graduated from Crawfordsville High School and Butler University. She received her master’s degree from Indiana University.
She was a retired schoolteacher, who taught at Crawfordsville, Waynetown and Thorntown schools. While at Crawfordsville, she was the sponsor of the Sunshine Society for many years.
She was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma teachers Sorority, Zeta Tau Alpha Social Sorority and West Lafayette Christian Church.
Surviving are a stepdaughter, Thelma Nolte of Arizona; four nieces, Lavoran Wright, Spencer; Frances Hibbs, Livermore Falls, Maine; Erma Dee Wilson, Columbus, Ind., and Janie Ezra, Crawfordsville, and two cousins, Lois Wray and Wilda Tague, both of Indianapolis. She was also preceded in death by a sister, a half sister and a half brother.
Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Powers Funeral Home, New Market, with the Revs. Revis Brazle and James Craig officiating. Burial was in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. -s
