CONNER, Joseph Archie - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Mellott - Joseph Archie Conner, 64, died at the Veterans Hospital in Danville, Ill., at 6:30 pm Tuesday. He had been at the hospital about five weeks. Born November 8, 1896, in Warren County, he was the son of Joseph and Anna Bell Hetrick Connor. He married Mary Evelyn Knowles August 6, 1923. He lived most of his life in Warren and Fountain counties and had lived the past four years in the Mellott community. He was a member of the Congregational Christian Church in Mellott. Mr Conner was a farmer. Survivors include his wife; a son, Charles of Delphi; a daughter, Mable of Attica; two brothers, Eugene of Attica, and Clinton address unknown, and seven grandchildren. Funeral sevices will be held at the Congregational Christian Church in Mellott, at 2 pm EST Friday. Rev Jack Eitelbuss will officate. Military services will be conducted by the Quigle-Palin American Legion Post. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery at Attica.
