Lester Carl Commons, 70, former resident of Veedersburg, died at his home in Tangier Monday of a cerebral hemorrhage. He was a retired railroad man and had worked on the CA &S RR for 28 years and the Pa. RR for two. He lived in Liberty Twp of Parke Co all his life, except 12 years when he resided in Veedersburg. He was born Aug 18, 1880 and married Miss Fannie Swaim in 1901. He was a member of the Sylvania Masonic Lodge. Mr. Commons is survived by his widow; a daughter, Mrs. Kathleen Colson, principal of Grange Corner School; two sons, William David of Terre Haute; Joel of Indianapolis, two sisters, Mrs. Lena Weaver, Tangier and Mrs Abbe Huddleston, Indianapolis.
