Covington, Ind – Two men who have attended every Old Settlers’ reunion since it was started in 1877 will be special guests at the 72nd annual event Aug 17 at Patterson Grove, northeast of Yeddo in Fountain County. They are John Woodrow, 82 years old of Cates, and James M. Shanks, 74 of Yeddo. The reunion one of the oldest and largest in the country, attracted a record crowd of 25,000 persons in 1936. - kbz
