WOODROW, Freeman - hunting accident

Covington, Ind Nov 18 – Two hunting accidents in Fountain County yesterday resulted in the death of one youth and serious wounding of another. Glen Lucas, 15, of Covington died in Danville, Ill hospital last night of wounds received when his shotgun discharged after he dropped it while climbing a fence.  Lucas was a student at Covington HS.  (Note: He was Glenwood C. Lucas, son of Perry & Iona Griffin Lucas

Freeman Woodrow, 19 of Cates, Ind was shot in the chest when a gun in the hands of his brother, Forrest, 18, discharged when the latter stumbled. The injured youth was taken to a Danville hospital where his condition was regarded as serious. Note: Freeman lived to 19 November 2002 (born 7 April 1916 – buried Coal Creek Cemetery – what a lucky boy)
