VESTAL, Clinton - what a mess

Covington, Ind – 56 year old Clinton Vestal, who left his wife and 10 children here two months ago to find living quarters for them and then disappeared, is back again, this time in jail. Vestal is held in Fountain County jail on a charge of violating a parole. 8 of the children have been found homes in Franklin Co and Mrs. Vestal an expectant mother and the two other children are in the Fountain County infirmary. The family, evicted from a farm south of here last May live in the community room at the courthouse then in a tent and finally at a farm home. The Vestals went to Warren County last week end and the husband was taken into custody.
