VEEDERSBURG Clay Products - 1945

Source: Veedersburg (Fountain County, Indiana) News Friday May 11, 1945

Smoke will again roll from the stacks of the Veedersburg Clay Products factory starting either this week end or the first of the next week.

A reorganization of the firm in Chicago and a shifting of stock has brought about the decision to open the plant as soon as possible. The procurement of man power will be the deciding factor in the amount of building brick, tile and paving brick that can be made at the present time.

Under the new organization, Mr. H.F. Pronger has become president of the Clay products company. Mr. Pronger is already known in Veedersburg and is the uncle of Emory Pronger, who is also a well known former Veedersburg man.

The brick plant hopes to continuously operate man years in the future and again provide the construction industry with the excellent brick made in the Veedersburg plant. With the dawning of the post-war era, all officials see bright prospects for the future.

Mr. J. Glenn Crane, owner of the Veedersburg Brick Company will assume the double duty of becoming general manger of the Clay products plant.
