HIGHLAND - hurt
Source: Crawfordsville Review 30 Sept 1893 p 7
On Tuesday afternoon the 7-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Highland while playing near the mill in picking a sandbur from one of his fingers with his teeth by some means swallowed it, or rather got it started down his throat where it stuck fast. Dr. Henderson was called and used every means at his command to remove it but could not only do so by forcing it down into his stomach. The little fellow suffered intensely while the operation was being performed but at last accounts was getting along very well – Covington Friend
