Special Election STATE OF INDIANA--FOUNTAIN COUNTY.

To the Sheriff of said County-- In pursuance of an act supplemental to an act "Providing for the election and qualification of Justices of the Peace," approved February 2, 1855, an Election is hereby ordered to be held On Saturday, January 24th, 1857, at the usual place of holding elections in Wabash Township, said county, to elect one Justice of the Peace, to fill the vacancy occasioned by the death of James Townsley, Esq., of which you will give the requisite legal notice. [L.S]

In testimony whereof, I hereunto subscribe and affix the seal of said Court, at Covington, this 29th day of December, 1856. E. C. WILCOX, Clerk.
