PUTNAM County Poor Farm Inspected - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Inspection of the Putnam County Poor by members of the Putnam County Grand Jury and an inspection of the county jail were scheduled for today.  The members of the Grand Jury went to the County House before noon and were guests of Guy Jackson, superintendent of the county farm at dinner.  Investigative work of the jury probably will be completed today with the hearing of evidence of one or two witnesses who have been summoned to appear today.    ~~~transcribed by kbz
