Race For a Meat Thief. The police on Thursday received a warrant for the arrest of Samuel Pearman, of Fountain county, He left there some weeks ago and came direct to his brother-in law's, Bud Furr, who runs a saloon in the Valley. Going there officer Bannister, after making inquiry for him, discovered him rapidly running in a northwest direction. Orders to halt were unheeded, when the officer started after him, firing his revolver, but which seemed only to inspire Pearman to move faster. Pursuit was continued, and the fugitive at last fell from exhaustion and was captured. He was taken to Covington on Thursday evening.
