The suit of Bascom O’Hair vs the National Fire Insurance Company of New York City which asked $10,000 damages on his house which was burned in September was dismissed in Putnam Circuit Court today be request of the plaintiff. Mr. O’Hair withdrew all papers in the case. The burning was recently investigated by the grand jury, suspecting arson but no indictments were returned. ~~~transcribed by kbz

Bascom O’Hair, whose suit for $10,000 against the National Fire Insurance Corporation and the Union Central Life Company was recently dismissed by his own request has refiled asking for $2,999. The new suit asks for damaged on household furnishings only since they were not mortgaged to the Union Central Company as were his house and outbuildings. ~~~transcribed by kbz
