LIGHTY, Mr. and Mrs. Archie - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

HILLSBORO - Mr. and Mrs. Archie Lighty celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Sunday, Feb. 8, with an open house, 2 to 5 p.m., at the home of their son, Marion Lighty here.

Decorated anniversary cake, punch, nuts and mints were served to 125 guests by Mrs. James R. Lighty of Crawfordsville and Mrs. Marion Lighty.  A granddaughter, Miss Estaleen Lighty registered the guests and the other granddaughters pinned the favors on them.  Mrs. Frank Chesam of Darlington greeted the guests.

Four generations were present for the event, Mr. and Mrs. Archie Lighty, their son, Estel and his daughter, Mrs. Roscoe Zellar of Mellott and her son.

Guests were from Fithian, Muncie and Danville, Ill., Mellott, Newton, Waynetown, Veedersburg, Crawfordsville and Fairmount.

The guest of honor received many gifts, cards, and telephone calls wishing them happiness.
