HESLER, Alfred - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

After 25 years of faithful service, Alfred J. Hesler is retiring as Fountain County’s Agricultural Extension Agent.  Practically all of the citizens of the county would like to show to show to Alfred their appreciation so a group of people, not representing any organization in the county but representing the citizens of the county have arranged for a public meeting to be held in the Richland Township HS gym at Newtown May 6th.  This happens to be Mr. Hesler’s birthday so it is appropriate that this date be chosen for his party.  Letters have gone out to all the taxpayers in the county announcing this party. But since mailing the letter, the place has been changed to Newtown.  Also the committee has received acceptance from Dr. John Holland, “Little Brown Church of the Air,” of WLS as the guest speaker.  Complete details will be published later.   ~~~transcribed by kbz
