LENON, Augusta vs John Lenen (sic)
Source: Marion News-Tribune Thursday Dec 29, 1910 p 4
Augusta Lenon of Fountain County, Indiana does not like it because John Lenan (sic) secured a divorce from her. She has filed a petition in the circuit court, the hearing of which has been set for January 9 in which she sets out the fact that all the things her John said of her in the divorce suit which he successfully brought against her are false. She even declares that when John made an affidavit that he did not know where she lived he lied, because as she maintains he well knew her residence was in Fountain County. John Lenon (sic) is a member of the soldiers’ home. He sued his wife for a divorce, alleging that she had been cruel to him. He declared that he did not know where she was living and therefore she received no notice of the pendency of the suit excepting the ordinary newspaper advertisement. There was no appearance by the defendant and Lenon made his story so strong that the court granted the decree without hesitation. The hearing of the petition to reopen the case will probably make more trouble.
