Youngblood, Frank

Sheriff Grady Nichols had a visit from Sheriff Frank Youngblood of Fountain County, Indiana of which Covington is the county seat, Tuesday. Sheriff Youngblood came here to claim 3 prisoners which Sheriff Nichols had been holding in custody for him. The three young men were apprehended here about two months ago for the theft of gasoline, it was stated and were given sentences of 60 days for the offense. In the meantime, the possession of the car in which they were traveling was investigated and it was learned that the car had been stolen in Indiana. The sheriff from that state is returning them to face charges on this account it was stated. Sheriff Youngblood was accompanied by two state officers. They made the trip here from Asheville by the Chimney Rock and Bat Cave route to view the scenery. They expressed a desire to remain to see more as they were very much impressed with the beauty of the North Carolina mountains, it was said.
