Dr. Lacey L Shuler, 5868 Washington Boulevard who has been commissioned a major in the Army Medical Corps has reported for duty at the Army Medical Center in Washington. Dr. Shuler had been an orthopedic physician and surgeon in Indianapolis 24 years. He is a graduate of Indiana University school of medicine, is married and has a two-year-old daughter.

A pretty but simply planned wedding took place at 8 o'clock last night in the home of Dr. and mrs. OW Sicks, 5609 North Pennsylvania Street when Miss Marie L. Cook of Indianapolis, formerly of Montgomery Ala became the bride of Dr. Lacey L. Shuler of Indianapolis, son of Mr. and Mrs. John W. Shuler of Waynetown. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James H. Cook of Tyler, Tex. The ceremony was read by the Rev. EL Day before the fireplace in the living room arranged with a background of greenery candelabra and roses. The bride wore hyacinth-blue lace with a corsage of Sweetheart roses. Mrs. Sicks wore gardenias with white lace. A reception for 50 wedding guests followed the ceremony. Out of town guests here for the wedding were Mr. and Mrs. Leonard C. Kyle of Tuscaloosa, Ala; Mrs. Kyle is a sister of the bride. Also Mr. and Mrs. Shuler, parents of Dr. Shuler and Mr. and Mrs. Tracy Barham of Hamilton, OHio. The bride is a graduate of Woman's College of Alabama. Dr. and Mrs. Shuler will be at home at 4901 Washington Boulevard after June 1. - kz

Mrs. Lacey Shuler, 5868 Washington Boulevard, and her daughter Susan have returned from Alabama. They motored to Alabama with Miss Tracy Jean Cook of Tuscaloosa who has been visiting Dr. and Mrs. Shuler. - kz

Dr. DO Kearby and WD Little will be the principal speakers at the weekly meeting of the Indianapolis Medical Society at the Athenaeum Tuesday night. Dr. Kearby's subject will be Symptology of Acute and Chronic Maxillary Sinus Infection. The lecture will be illustrated with lantern slides. Dr. Little will discuss Treatment of Cutaneous Burns. Discussants will be Dr. FV Overman, Dr LA Ensminger and Dr. Lacey Shuler. - kz

Announcement has been made by the superintendents of the Pennsylvania Railroad and the Indianapolis Union Railway of the appointment of Dr. Lacey L. Shuler as company surgeon to succeed Dr. John H. Oliver who was surgeous for the companies a number of years until his death recently. Dr. Shuler has been associated with Dr. Oliver in the practice of general and orthopedic surgery many years.
