SCHOONOVER, Albert - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Albert Schoonover – resides 2670 Third Street, office, Keating Block, San Diego. Born Feb 10, 1870 in Bonaparte, Ia son of Isaac E. and Margaret (Yeager) Schoonover. Married July 5, 1893 to Emma S. Green.  Educated in the public schools of Indiana and studied law in the office of his father, IE Schoonover at Attica, Ind 1889.  Admitted to practice by Indiana Circuit and Supreme Courts in 1891 and later to the US Courts. Engaged in practice with his father until 1897 when he moved to Indianapolis where he continued practice until he moved to San Diego, 1903 and entered into partnership with LA Wright under the firm name of Wright & Schoonover in January 1904; EV Winnek entered firm in 1907 which then became Wright, Schoonover & Winnek. Served in Indiana Legislature in 1897; assistant DA of San Diego County 1905-6. Member Knights of Pythias; BPOE Democrat. - kz
