MYERS, Alfred - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

6th Generation – Alfred Myers, son of Eli and Susanna Darr Myers was born in Fountain County Indiana Aug 10, 1852 married to Delpha Souders April 24, 1873 in Putnam County, Indiana. She was born April 24, 1852.  Their farm home was located a short distance east of his father’s.  His wife died April 5, 1915 and was buried in Wallace Lutheran Cemetery.  After he death, he remained alone for some time then a daughter moved into the home and cared for him.  Later he had a sale and sold most of his farm tools and household goods and went to live with his sister, Amanda Gooding.  He was in her home a few years then lived the remainder of his life among his children.  He died April 25, 1930 in the home of his daughter in Crawfordsville, Mr. and Mrs. Mike Fruits and was buried in Wallace Cemetery. They were parents of 10 children …
