George Minick, farmer, Veedersburg, is a native of Fountain county and son of Simon and Prudy Minick. He was born in 1844, and raised to the profession of farming. His educational training is such as was to be obtained in the common district school. He married October 14, 1869, to Martha Dice, native of Fountain county, daughter of Jacob and Mary Dice, whose family history will appear in the work. By this marriage he has four children: Birtie, Frederic, Altie, and Eddy. He and his wife are members of the New Light Christians at Osborn's chapel. He has a fine farm of 204 acres in a good state of cultivation and well stocked. When he began life for himself he rented land of his father. By his energy and industry has provided for himself and family a neat and comfortable home. In politics he is a radical republican.
