ROBERT D. KEEFER, carpenter, and grocer, Rob Roy, son of Israel and Margaret (Hall) Keefer, was born in Shawnee township, January 10 1856. His parents removed from Ross county Ohio, to this place in 1854. He obtained a common school education, and the age of eighteen began to learn the carpenter's trade. He has followed this business to the present time. Mr. Keefer was married, September 9 1880, to Miss Ida, daughter of Jacob Clawson. She was born October 16 1860. Her mother's maiden name Mary Nehemiah. The Clawsons were early settlers in this part of the country. Mr. Keefer is a young man of spirit and enterprise, and in politics a republican.
