HYBARGER, Rufus - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Rufus Hybarger was born in 1820 in Tennessee a son of John and Agnes (McGill) Hybarger.  He came to Jackson Township with his parents in 1827.  On Sept 13, 1841 he was married to Harriet Spraggs.  His second wife, Susan died in 1848.  He was married thirdly July 28, 1850 to Mary Murphy who was born Oct 25, 1829 the daughter of William and Elizabeth (Bowman) Murphy.  They had at least two sons George Edward who died at age 3 years and Rufus Calvin, Junior.  Mary died in 1863.  She and George are buried in the Wallace Cemetery, Rufus was married fourthly to Nancy McLain.  He died in Jackson Township in 1900.  --- transcribed by  kbz
