Perry Hatt, of Hillsboro, the genial jovial traveling man, has after due
consideration, decided not to be a candidate for county clerk on the
republican ticket. It is well Perry decided thusly. He is a down right
good fellow, but he would have went down to defeat along with the rest
of the republican ticket. There is nothing more certain than the
democrats are going to be victorious this fall. Perry sees the
handwriting on the wall - Covington Friend - typed by kbz
