GLOSSER, Joseph

Source: Jasper County – Rensselaer Semi-Weekly Republican 28 Dec 1897

Mr. Joseph Glosser is hauling his corn and hay off having sold his fine farm in Milroy. Uncle Joe is one of Milroy’s early settlers, having come here from Fountain County and at an early day when there was only a house now and then and all was woods, marshes, and water. But now all is changed to ditches and grain fields, which Uncle Joe says he delights to see, though he is unable to farm any more. Uncle Joe moved to Remington last spring

Note: Assume this is Joseph Glosser 16 Jan 1846 Germany 28 March 1903 but that’s only 57 – Crockett Cem, Rensselaer, Jasper Co – wife Violet Catherine Harris marr 1891 1858-1927 but he is linked to children born prior to that – Margaret Katherine 1877-1956; William Edward 1878-1955; Laura May 1881-1927; Charles Marion 1884-1955 (next ones would be hers) Joseph Thomas 1894-99; Arthur Lowell 1899-1984 and John Joseph Thomas 1901-1975
